Happy day, happy life

Tips to have a good day

Get enough sleep: yes, for me it’s crucial to get 7-8 hours of sleeping with a consistent sleep routine (11PM – 6AM). Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. Nowadays, it’s easier said than done when it comes to sleep in a consistent timeframe, one rule I’ve been applying is no phone-no call before sleep and avoid caffeine before bed time, and create a relaxing bedtime routine, such as reading a book or any reading materials. Create for yourself a habit by the time your biological clock will automatically follow.

Eat healthy foods: having a more balanced diet, increase the portion fruits, vegetables in your meal. Don’t consume too much of sugary foods surely these are not a healthy choice for you. Recently, for 3 dinners a week I’m following free meat meals, 100% mixed boiling vegetables, my digestive system has been getting much better.

Exercise regularly: Find an exercise routine that you enjoy, it’s not necessarily to be intense ones (such as gym, marathon, etc.). Whatever the activities that could make yourself moving, sweat a bit, that’s fine. My schedule is tied up so I need to be creative, for example at work and while teaching, instead of sitting, sometime I standing and walk around, I also ride bike to work on Monday and Friday as well as on the weekend.

Practice mindfulness: You can practice mindfulness in many different ways, such as meditation, deep

breathing, or yoga. Find a technique that works for you and try to incorporate it into your daily routine. To be honest, I’ve done nothing above mentioned, but I saw a bunch of researches proved the health benefits of these kind of practices. So if it’s somehow relevant to you, let’s give it a shot.

Connect with others: Spend time with friends and loved ones, whether it’s through phone calls, video chats, or in-person meetings. Hanging out with friends for a cup of tasty coffee on weekend is a common choice in Vietnam.

Do things you enjoy: Make time for activities that bring you joy, such as, swimming, hiking, or cooking. Set aside time each week to pursue these activities. I know we are all tied up with our job, study but believe me, if you want to make time for these activities, you can!

Remember, it’s not one-size-fits-all approach, tailor these tips based on your own circumstance. Experiment with different activities and routines until you find what works best for you. And remember to be kind and patient with yourself as you work toward feeling good every day.
Enjoy your day-enjoy your life!
