My ride to work

My apartment is located in the green and peaceful area known as Lang Dai Hoc or University Village. I’ve called this place home for over a decade since I was a student and now a permanent resident here. As I wake up on a beautiful Friday morning, a sense of enjoyment washes over me, because it’s the awesome Friday. This neighborhood, resembling a vast park. Infrastructure wise, it has undergone remarkable improvements compared to my university days. With better and much more stunning roads and facilities to serve students, there is still more to be done to enhance the quality of education for HCMC National University and promote a healthy lifestyle for the surrounding community.

One of the many reasons why Lang Dai Hoc is perfect for me is its bike-friendly environment. I have been working for a bicycle company located in the same area, just 4 kilometers away from my apartment. Commuting to work on my trusty two-wheeler is not only convenient but also allows me to fully immerse myself in the refreshing air that nature graciously provides. Cycling is becoming a passion of mine, as it offers numerous health benefits, including both physical and mental well-being.
Every morning, I hop on my bike and embark on a brief journey through Lang Dai Hoc. As I pedal my way through the neighborhood, the wind gently caresses my face, whispering secrets of the surrounding nature. The sound of my wheels turning on the paved pathways creates a symphony in my ears, it’s hard to describe if you are not a rider, but it’s great. It’s during these moments that I find myself in a state of meditation, where the stresses of daily life fade away, and my mind becomes calm and focused.
Not only does cycling provide an enjoyable experience, but it also wake up my body and mind. Physically, my short morning ride to work wakes up my muscles, preparing them for the long hours of sitting at work. It’s a initiator for an active and energetic day. Mentally, the meditative nature of cycling clears my thoughts, allowing me to appreciate the present moment and be grateful for the life I have. The combination of exercise and meditation creates a harmonious balance, setting a positive mindset for the rest of the day.
Here are some moments

While we may change jobs throughout our lives, our choice of residence is a more permanent decision. The area in which we live greatly influences our overall well-being. Lang Dai Hoc does just that to me, where I can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. It provides me with the perfect blend of convenience and serenity, allowing me to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.
