5 days in Vietnam of my friends (part 1)
Jiang and his friends travel to Vietnam
Part 1: 3 days in Nha Trang
Several years ago I joined in an internship in Bangkok city, that was such a great time. I’ve met and became friend with lots of people from ASEAN members, Japan, China, India… Mr. Jiang Xiaobo was my roommate, He’s a nice dude, didn’t talk much but a deep thinker. We got along easily maybe because Vietnam and China cultures have something in common, so we had a bunch of things to share with each other.
But after the internship we haven’t had chance to talk much, you might know in China people cannot use Facebook or Gmail, the government have blocked those applications (they use their own social networks like Bing, Wechat). Fortunately, somehow he still can use Facebook but the connection is too bad. Sometimes I send him a message and several days later I get his response.
Last month he said he want to travel to my Vietnam and take the chance to visit me, that’s just great. This is an opportunity for me to show my friend about my city, my country, and a great chance to unite with him again.
Jiang and his friends took a flight to Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city after that we flew to Nha Trang city.
We got to Nha Trang around 8PM, the distance from Cam Ranh airport to our Villa was quite far. Luckily we met a really friendly taxi driver, he was a middle aged man, living in the city with his wife and two lovely daughters, on the way he opened the windows so we could enjoy the cool wind and feel the “taste” from the ocean. The feeling that me and my friends rarely have chance to enjoy, we are living in the city, so just the noise of vehicles, the crowded of people. He told me stories, experiences that he went through in his life journey and to be honest I was fascinated with that. I love talking with senior citizens, they teach me by their own experiences. FYI, Nha Trang is a seaside town also the capital city of Khanh Hoa Province in the South Central Coast of Vietnam. Nha Trang is becoming increasingly popular in recent years because of its pristine beaches, best scuba diving center of Vietnam as well as lots of interesting places and delicious local seafood to enjoy.
Check out!! some of our moments in Nha Trang
First, we visited the impressive aquarium at Tri Nguyen, where we could see the spectacular underwater world without getting wet.
The next island was To Mot, is well known by the beautiful beaches, we tried snorkel, it’s such a great chance get in touch with the stunning underwater world along the colorful fishes and coral reefs.
Then we had our lunch at Ngang cove with fresh seafood such as fried shrimp, fried fish used with tomato sauce, spring rolls, cabbage soup and enjoyed music there.
At the last island, the time to relax and admire the environment, the landscape. We also tried some sports like banana float, water motorbike
After 3 fantastic days in Nha Trang, we went back to HCM city at Sunday night.
Goodbye the charming city, I will come back!!.
